Pflugerville Community Church

Employment Period: 2012 – Current

Position: Personal Assistant to Senior Pastor & Event Coordinator

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide additional support for the administrative staff at Pflugerville Community Church.
Coordinated development of special projects, website development and maintenance.
Coordinate use of two buildings both internally for ministry related events and externally for weddings, receptions, special event and sports use.
Perform Contract negotiations for internal and external event usage.
Responsible for collection and accounting of funds associated with external event usage.

 

UT-Austin: Department of Molecular Biosciences

Employment Period: July 2016 - November 2016

Position: Interim Grant & Contract Specialist

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide Support for the Department of Molecular Biosciences regarding proposal development and submission.
Work with outside funding agencies (NIH, DTRA, CPRIT, DARPA, etc.) as well as Private Foundations to ensure proper reporting and record management.
Serve as primary point of contact and work closely with the Office of Sponsored Projects to manage submission and approval processes associated with prime awards as well as sub-contracts.
Provide financial oversight including developing, managing and forecasting operational and personnel budgets for the department.

 

UT-Austin: Department of Chemical Engineering

Employment Period: 2011 – 2014

Position: Grants & Contracts Specialist

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide Support for the Georgiou scientific lab in Chemical Engineering regarding proposal development and submission.
Coordinated development of oversight and project management system as well as a new budget review system.
Work with outside funding agencies (NIH, DTRA, CPRIT, DARPA, etc.) as well as Private Foundations to ensure proper reporting and record management.
Obtained signatures for financial documents as well as internal and external invoices.
Serve as primary point of contact and work closely with the Office of Sponsored Projects to manage submission and approval processes associated with prime awards as well as sub-contracts.
Provide financial oversight including developing, managing and forecasting operational and personnel budgets for the lab.
Compiled annual recommendations for the end of fiscal year budgets.
Performed complex general accounting functions, including preparations of journal entries, accounting analysis and balance sheet type reconciliations.
Performed budget modeling to project monthly, quarterly & yearly cash flow and presented information to Dr. Georgiou.
